Carlos Hernández Díaz-Ambrona

PhD in Agricultural Engineering specialized in sustainable agriculture and agroforestry systems simulation models. Assistant Director of the Spanish Journal of Agrosocial and Fisheries Studies, Secretary of the Center for Innovation and Technology for Development at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (itdUPM). Director of the Master’s Degree in Strategies and Technologies for Development: Cooperation in a Changing World, Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). Coordinator of the Group of Cooperation for development in agricultural systems AgSystems, Member of the Center for Studies and Research in Agricultural and Environmental Risk Management (CEIGRAM). He has been director of the Department of Plant Production: Phytotechnics of the UPM. International post-doctoral experience at the University of Melbourne (Australia), at the Unité de Environnement et grandes cultures of the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique-INRA (France) and at the Escuela Agrícola Panamericana El Zamorano (Honduras), and collaborator of the Secretaría Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación-SENACYT (Panama). He has participated in more than 32 research projects. He has published 29 books and book chapters, more than 50 high impact scientific articles and more than 70 articles of agricultural popularization. He has supervised seven doctoral theses and more than a hundred final degree, master’s and bachelor’s degree projects.
