Dr. Carlos Madrigal completed his studies in Agricultural Engineering in 1986 and in 1991 defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Agricultural Engineering.
From July to December 1987, he participated in an international cooperation project in Peru with the Institute for Ibero-American Cooperation. From January 1988 to December 1991, he conducted research at the Research and Technology Center of the National Institute of Agricultural and Food Research and Technology (CIT-INIA), focusing his work on the biological control of phytopathogenic fungi and microbiology. Between January 1992 and June 2002 he held the position of Station Manager at Syngenta. Since June 2002 he has been working at TÜV SÜD as Auditor and Consultant in Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems.
