Agrónomos Sin Fronteras Foundation among the winning NGOs of the 17th edition of Euros de tu Nómina

We are delighted to share that we have been selected as one of the 17 organizations awarded in the 17th edition of Euros de tu Nómina, a solidarity initiative by Banco Santander that supports social projects with significant impact around the world.

Thanks to the voluntary donations of more than 2,800 employees, matched by the bank, a total of €655,012 was raised to support the work of different NGOs in areas such as health, inclusion, disability, commitment, and international cooperation.

From the Agrónomos Sin Fronteras Foundation, in collaboration with the Esperanza y Alegría Foundation, we presented a project aimed at improving the nutrition and well-being of students at a secondary school in Tanzania.

The project includes the creation of a 1.2-hectare school garden and a 450 m² greenhouse, irrigated from an existing well. The production is intended to enhance the daily diet of 1,238 students, 68% of whom are adolescent girls. It also provides training for teachers and families to ensure food sustainability, as well as improvements to kitchen infrastructure and the installation of a handwashing station to strengthen hygiene practices.

The award ceremony was held on June 9 in Madrid, in a very special event presided over by Her Majesty Queen Letizia, with the presence of Ana Botín, President of Banco Santander, and more than 700 attendees.

We are deeply grateful for this recognition and the momentum it represents to continue strengthening our work alongside rural communities in Tanzania.
